We are currently recruiting for an Ulcerative Colitis trial.

Ulcerative Colitis  is a lifelong chronic Inflammatory Bowel Disease characterized by inflammation and sores along the digestive tract or colonic mucosa.

It damages the innermost lining of the large intestine and rectum, and when left untreated can lead to life-threatening complications.

Challenges in Disease Management

Treating ulcerative colitis remains a challenge because of the unknown causes and cure. While doctors previously suspected diet and stress to be the major causes, it is now known that these factors aggravate but don’t directly cause ulcerative colitis.

The cure also remains elusive. Despite available treatments, many patients experience recurring symptoms.

This highlights the need for determining the appropriate and most effective treatment for specific patients.
